The drive across country was good although the speed signs make no sense to us and drivers give you no clue about what the speed limit might be because they are all in a hurry, as if they have just watched a formula 1 race replay.
The roads become much better quality once you leave Puglia and reach Calabria; they are more like the quality of NZ roads.
The apartment is lovely so we sat and enjoyed the view (and caught up on some laundry because they had a machine 🙂)
I haven't found a way to rotate photos in the blog space sorry.
We will move on to Sicily tomorrow and get a lot closer to our meeting point for the food tour group.
Several people we have spoken to told us we must go to Taormina for a day/night, so we will.
These folk seem to be 'White Lotus' fans, but having not seen the show we won't recognize any connections and suspect we will be surrounded by near Vatican scale tourist numbers making it hard for us to enjoy the place.
We will see.
