Herbs, Lunch and Notto

It must look like we are constantly charging around the countryside, but it's not tiring.

Francesco has done all the organising, Salvatore the driving, and the group is fun, which is energizing. 

Today we headed off to a herb farm, where the owner (Enrico, a funny man) explained his business, Sicilian herbs, and then his lovely wife Rita (a chef) presented us with lunch 'under the vines'.

Enrico is trying a new technique for his lemons by growing across a trellis frame like kiwifruit.

Then, we returned to the Masseria for another swim and rest...

Before getting back in the van to head to Notto for the evening.

Notto is another old town area that is popular with tourists.

We particularly enjoyed the commitment to art around the area, and calls for peace.

Some Instagram kids encouraged us too join the fun.
