Our only visit was Santa Croce Basilica, which includes the tombs of Galileo and Michaelangelo .
It was also the most peaceful church, with a person playing the organ which added atmosphere.
It is however a little disconcerting watching people walk over the burial points of other important people (a little like Westminster Abbey).
They (and Florence) have endured some huge floods over the centuries. 1966 being the highest, which damaged a lot of important art.
Important art (yet another 16th century painting of the last supper). Judas the only one rude enough to be holding his knife 😳
We are off around the wider district for a full day tomorrow.
