We woke up this morning feeling much sharper so we headed out on adventure:
Then, feeling better about eating we indulged in the local tourist attraction:
After this we walked the entire l length of the main road into Amalfi, being approximately 700 metres!
It is the only road in for permanent residents in this part of the valley so their patience must wear thin as they balance the benefits of tourism against it's obvious frustrations.
Retailing might seem easy but only if you work in the first 250 metres because tourists here don't seem too be very energetic. Here's the top half of the road:
The next section to walk is the waterfront. It's entertaining to watch oversized, undersized, experienced and inexperienced drivers trying to share a road that is often only one and a half lanes wide 😳
Finally, our hastily rearranged accommodation saw us in luck, finding this place on the marine parade. Noisy during the day but excellent views and quiet at night. Built in 1300 as a home for some wealthy Countess.
