Florence Day 3

Today we became sheep, on a 12 hour day by bus. We don't really enjoy this type of travel, however, we were well treated, saw a lot and it saved us doing some of the planning.
The circuit included stops in Siena, Tuscany farm (lunch), San Gimingano (a bit like Arrowtown now with wall to wall tourists) and Pisa.

In fact, when you visit Italy's highlights it always seems to be wall to wall tourists. It takes a little shine off the authenticity at times.

Yes, ANOTHER church, but this one was impressive enough to hold our attention. Spot the heads of past popes up high (until they ran out of room!)
The annual horse race around the Piazza is a very important event and would be something to behold.

Gelato is good, but we don't queue this long (queue is actually 4x what you see here)

Yes it's crooked (badly engineered!). Yes, everyone is trying to hold it up:
I must have expected more because in the end I discovered it was 'just a bell tower beside a church' surrounded by tourists and pick pockets. Our guide was great at spotting them and yelling out to identify them 😂

We have meet some lovely travelers on our various tours. I know it's only a small sample but without fail the Americans find Trump an embarrassment!
We agree, once we have heard their position on him.

Today we head to Rome for the Conclave 😁
