On the Road

Our road tour of Iceland is underway, split up into roughly 200km bite sized days.

Today, after leaving Reykjavik, we finished in Selfoss (or Hobbiton as Marie prefers to call it).
After travelling through a national park and stopping at many water falls and geothermal areas.
Someone drowned in this river last week. We hope it wasn't a result of the absurd photography efforts that we often see.
Crowds waiting 7 minutes for a geyser, which was rather small in our view.
With all due respect, Rotorua area is better.
Note the walking track that takes you down beside the waterfall.
Late lunch in a glass house, at a tomato growing farm. Excellent.
Kiwis and Icelanders know not to describe volcanoes as extinct, but this one is certainly inactive.

On a different matter, amongst the wide array of toilet quality during our travels, this Reykjavic one stands out for quality and cleanliness.
However, it jolly should be the best at NZ$3 per session. Note EFTPOS available.

The weather has been improving, which is nice, but now the sun is still up at 11pm!
