Gozo

We had expected our day trip to Gozo to be a bit of a highlight but it didn't turn out that way.

It is was good, and we are pleased we went, but it was all a bit rushed and often underwhelming.

Then van drive to the top of the main island to connect with the ferry wasn't great tourism. It's one redeeming feature was showing us other parts of the island.

However, we avoided coming home in the slow winding van by jumping on a quick ferry from Gozo back to Valletta, docking about 100m from our hotel. 👍
Vehicle ferry to Gozo
Little Suzuki and driver who reached its around the sights.
Salt pans said to have been carved out by the Romans (or their slaves!)
Boating through some caves (Blue Grotto)
A church on every corner! This one is inside the islands citadel.
Looking out from the high walls of the citadel.
A beautiful place to swim.... Xlendi ... But there wasn't sufficient time!
Then back for our ferry directly home.
Lucky we aren't still in the foothills of Etna! Such as Catania in the foreground of this media photo.
