We have reached our Northern most country and in a few days will reach its Northern most point.
Welcome to Iceland, where it doesn't really get dark in summer.
We left London in a comfortable 18 degrees and arrived in Iceland with 8 degrees!
So, we picked up our rental car (not the Land Rover sadly)
And immediately took ourselves off to the Blue Lagoon hot pools. Interestingly, we had to cross a 'recent' lava field which had forced a road diversion/rebuild.
Litli-Hrútur Volcanic Eruption in Grindavik (seems to have been 2023 for this one).
Two hours soaking in water with a temperature between 35-38 degrees was about right so being almost 10pm we headed to our accommodation in Reykjavik.
