Fjords and Puffins!

Today involved more driving than other days but we enjoyed a cosy 'Viking Cafe', drove around about six fjords and finally saw puffins up close.
A good coffee at the rustic and cosy cafe.
Marie at the 'instagram chair's at the headland of one fjord.

Here are a few shots from travelling around the fjords (you could take dozens given how big and changeable the landscape is).
At a glance the seem shallower than what we call fjords in NZ.

And, what I know you've all been waiting for puffins! So cute. So unbothered by our presence; some even seemed to be setting up poses for us.

If you ever makes it too Iceland, you must seek them out. These ones were in a very reachable location (no boating required) in Hafnarholmi.
Looking at Marie as she takes photos.
Waiting for partner to bring home dinner.
Couples for life apparently.
They are all out on that headland past the boat harbour.

Puffins will be hard to top in the scenery stakes.
