Sangli day 1

Today we moved from Mumbai to Sangli (wedding location) via Kohlapur (closest large airport).

The first order of the day was to buy all the Kiwis glamorous wardrobes for the wedding. What fun!

The girls had a great time. The boys put on the clothes that the ladies chose 😁. It was very helpful to have the local family to guide on fashion and to translate for us.

I'll publish more photos once we are dressed up at the wedding days.

Next, we went to the hotel. It is brand new, not quite finished, designed by a family member and built by friends. We are the test dummies 😂 and the only guests!

Third order of the day was compulsory Bollywood dance training with mixed levels of enthusiasm but it turned out to be great fun.

The last activity, as the Kiwis started to feel sleepy (India starts late and finishes late) was dinner at one of the preferred local spots.

Unsurprisingly the food is delicious. The locals are so helpful and so keen to make sure that we are having a good time.

On that note, it really is time to sleep 😴.
