The Burren
We set off from Tralee and the first step was to drive to, and board, the ferry across to Shannon, to avoid a longer drive via Limerick. We had no need for poetry. This countryside is filled with very slim roadways and you often breath in as you pass other vehicles. We stopped to view the famous Cliffs of Mother but they are a little underwhelming really, just big ocean facing cliffs. (With stupid Instagram people approaching the edges). A waterside pub for fish & chips lunch (Ballyvaughan). It has again been very warm and clear, which the locals call a relative heat wave. We are staying in a cute and comfortable unit (with laundry!) In The Burren, alongside a private home, for 2 nights this time. Galway and Connemara tomorrow before heading North the next day.
