West Lulworth

We had a full day (2 sleeps) here so set of walking the coastal views and because the castle was closed (!!) we went to the tank museum instead, which proved to be excellent, and so big that 3 hours wasn't enough to see it all.

I seemed to stop taking photos as the tanks evolved to current machines.

Farnham Finally

Yesterday we headed South and choose to go via Farnham Castle, the target for Katie and Nigel's original wedding plans.

After that we travelled through old Portsmouth and on to West Lulworth on the coast.

Eye see South Kensington

Today was more London time but with elevation and to the West this time.

It turned into a really good day, partly by chance.

Victoria & Albert museum in South Kensington.
Albert was quite important to Victoria!
and she built him a fantastic music hall.
Where we lucked in -  Van Morrison (sold out) was doing sound checks (singing) during our RAH tour! So cool.
Water feature at Princess Diana memorial in Hyde Park.
Cooling off.

London City time

Today was another day in the city; Southbank (Thames walk), Tower bridge, Tower of London, Covent Garden, theatre district and a show (Book of Mormon) and our now usual commute by train back to Katie and Nigel's in Kingston.
Don't hand your phone to just any stranger Marie said!
Crown jewels
Covent Garden is clearly for the beautiful people... And tourists.
West End show time. I doubt that the Mormon church sponsors this show 😂
Pesky tourists get in the way of most photos
Heading home, across another bridge.

More local activities

More Thames and more pubs, plus more time to drift around Kingston upon Thames which is a great wee town.

Oh, and a modern classic car (at the pub).
Had we the time, we could have attended gin making school.
Cool fact: The Sopwith camel and Hawker Hurricane were made in Katie and Nigel's street (back in the day).

Wedding Tour

We missed Katie and Nigel's wedding in 2020/2021 because various governments said we couldn't attend!

By chance we have been doing the wedding Tour of venues as we enjoyed a couple of days in their neighborhood.

Teddington Pub
Bingham River House for reception.
Richmond
Drinks on another (different boat)
drinks from the Red Lasso pub. In fact we visited many pubs!
Shall we just grab an ale to watch the community cricket?
Italian for lunch
Boat Uber home through the locks . A lovely way to spend the day.
