Dublin

We spent 12 hours on our feet today, emersing ourselves in Dublin. Initially it feels like Melbourne (low rise stone buildings and trams) until it reveals its own stories. The walking tour helped a lot, as did the weather which made it pleasant to simply carry on looking. We found some good coffee, a great breakfast and there's no shortage of bars if you get thirsty!

The stopover in Vancouver was worth the sleep and shower. It meant we approached the second leg of the journey with enthusiasm. The good old Jumbo delivered great service for the 8 hour journey that passed over Greenland and Iceland. We are now waiting on Frankfurt for the final 2 hour leg to Dublin.

Ireland bound

After a 1 hour delay at Auckland airport for flight NZ24 we boarded, ultimately bound for Dublin, with a 24 hour stopover in Vancouver. It's a beautiful day in Vancouver and it is actually nice to be off the plane for a decent break before getting back onboard tomorrow.
